![]() Here are the steps I take from that guide:ġ- Launch PotPlayer, go to " PREFERENCES " ( F5 ), in " PREFERENCES " change " Built-in DXVA Decoder " to " Built-in Self DXVA Decoder ", there in General > General Settings > Tray Icon change to " Show with taskbar " and Click OK.Ģ- Playback any FullHD 1080p or 720p video or movie you have for a moment and make sure to see how much performance and low cpu usage you have. (Imnho)ģ.) Follow for basic stuff with potplayer.Ĥ.) Maken1 has create a nice guide to set this up. Potplayer is the best movieplayer out there at this moment, bar none. It allows you to view 24fps (the default since the 1920´s or so) movies 48 fps (my recommendation). You should be able to do this in less than 10 minutes in 3 steps (or so : "Īnyways, here´s my setup, which imho is quite a bit better than a 'default' ie watching movies/tv-shows with vlc or similar with no changes. The technology is well-known for a while ("TrimensionDNM", "Motion Plus", "Motionflow" and others), but now it's available for free to PC users with simple GUI and just a couple of mouse clicks. It increases frame rate by generating intermediate animation frames between existing ones to produce very smooth, fluid and clear motion. "SVP allows you to watch any video on your PC file with frame interpolation (like you can watch it on high-end TVs and projectors). I have quite poor health and hence I watch a lot of movies and tv-shows. Please give feedback on how this works for you! If you have installed svp (the bigger one) you should be able to start Potplayer and start watching in high quality. Put the xmp4 skin in C:\Program Files (x86)\Daum\PotPlayer\Skins. Im pretty sure it wont or I wouldnt have posted, but just so you know. This is exported from the x86 version on Win 7 64x, I dont take any responsability for this if something should go wrong. Now you copy PotPlayerMini.ini to c:\users\%USERNAME%\Appdata\Roaming\Potplayermini if you have installed windows on c:\. Press f5 to bring up settings and go to General. Install Potplayer as per the instructions below. Hopefully this will help you make the install faster and easier.Īt you can download my settings and skin. Here are the images in proper size: Įdit: Update. I have a nice separate search function but it is not integrated into the media player - it would really be a great feature.Update. I have been collecting clips since before DSL as I had a T1 at my house. ![]() So that when you review a list years later, you have better info on what you might want to watch again. I know those are audio features - but guess what - if you have a HUGE VIDEO library with 10s of thousands of clips that you watch whenever, then tracking that info works exactly the same as audio playback - you want to know if you watched the clip, when, and how many times and be able to rate it. Sounds logical to me, Potplayer has its own purposes and are different from foobar. For advanced audio users that have more demanding needs, they will look into a more powerful and dedicated tool such as fooabar2000 which is perfect for that. Potplayer is firstly a powerful video player and secondly a good audio player for a common and quick use. I understand his answer about the audio features you'd like. Just post here if you do this so we can follow this issue. Users can send a feature request to developer by e-mail: ahahlive The best solution would be potplayer has the same feature as a browser, allowing users to scroll the tabs and sort them by drag and drop. I need more feedback from users about that to make a decision about buttons size. But I don't know what solution is better for the majority of users. For other people that have more tabs and often switch between them, bigger button are better. ![]() I guess those little buttons are good for people who have just 4 tabs so they will never have to use them. In some case, it saves you from having to use the buttons to scroll the tabs since you can just click on the part of the tab you can see. If you switch between the default skin and mine, you'll notice that you can see more tabs on mine. So I thought about it and as we have to deal with those buttons and the space on their right can be reduced, my purpose was to save space for tabs and avoid them being cut or hidden. Unfortunately, the scroll wheel can't work on tabs. I don't know if its possible with POT, but if you could make the scroll wheel move those tabs the same as firefox works than that would be ideal. Let me know if you understand what I am trying to say. If you compare your skin to the new current default skin you can see the difference. Your skins are great! The only issue I have is the 2 buttons on the playlist that navigate (scroll) different playlists (top right) are too small.
